Project Logistics

Providing almost 100 thousand tons of production material annually and delivering a similar amount of products to the right place at the right time is a great challenge, one which requires great expertise in shipping and storage.

Polimex-Mostostal S.A. production plants are supported by the Logistics Division, which is based in Siedlce and:

• prepares offers for large-scale projects in terms of availability and delivery of materials plus pricing,
• supplies the steel and all production materials required for any project and the processing technology involved,
• supplies all relevant conformity and material certificates.

All production steel is delivered by qualified suppliers, in full compliance with the certified ISO-9001 quality system. Depending on the project, the suppliers are leading Polish and European steelworks as well as the largest steel suppliers in Poland, Germany, Austria and France.

Polimex-Mostostal delivers manufactured constructions and products directly to the assembly site or to any location specified by the customer. The company ships by road, rail or sea, as well as by combined shipping. Polimex-Mostostal also delivers its products on tilting cars or in shipping containers, depending on the customer’s requirements. 

The Logistics Division continuously analyses the current situation on the global steel market, with special consideration for Poland and Europe.

Polimex-Mostostal provides professional and quick assembly services, with assembly teams of 400 employees, for:

• steel and reinforced concrete constructions
• industrial objects
• bridges and viaducts
• production and storage bays
• public buildings and commercial objects
• complete industrial installations:
  • processing towers
  • steel tanks
  • siloses
  • flue gas treatment plants
  • racks for paving blocks production plants
  • road crash barriers
  • light casings of troughed sheet and sandwich panels

Project Management

Polimex-Mostostal operates its own Project Services Centre, which serves as a knowledge base utilising advanced IT systems. The system's functionality provides easy and quick access to information about current enterprises and the related documents. The enhanced archive system provides real-time access to customer contracts, quality control documentation and internal decisions, i.e. responsibility matrices and meeting reports. General project schedules that include execution stages, construction organization schedules and details on the execution of commissions, along with the information about the production development of each project greatly help the project managers.

Polimex-Mostostal continuously develops the skills of its staff and modernizes the IT tools required for project management tasks.
