Quality of services

Polimex-Mostostal has a Quality Management Division responsible for the quality of all products and services rendered; its scope of responsibilities includes:

  • supervision of the entire contract execution cycle, from the control of production material and process testing to the acceptance of finished products or assembled objects
  • provision of efficient functioning and valid certificates under the Integrated Management System
  • issue of a Declaration of Conformity following competition of the production and verification cycles
  • preventative measures aimed at the improvement of product and service quality.

The Quality Management Division employs highly skilled controllers, who are fully qualified for NDT (EN 473) and anti-corrosion treatment inspection. 

The customer can request an inspection report package at any time.

The Division utilizes the best technical equipment, such as:

  • emission spectrometer for the chemical composition control of materials
  • stationary and mobile hardness testers
  • ultrasound flaw detectors 
  • geodetic equipment 
  • MT and PT testing equipment
  • video endoscope 
  • X-ray generator
  • X-ray video processing equipment 
  • measurement instruments (including laser-operated instruments)
  • equipment for macro-sampling and determination of the mechanical properties of materials.

  • PN-EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality management system 
  • PN-EN ISO 14001: 2004 Environmental management system 
  • PN-N-18001:2004 Occupational health and safety management system
  • PN-EN ISO 3834-2:2007 Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials. Part 2: Comprehensive quality requirements
  • PN-N-19001:2006 Internal control system
  • AQAP2110:2006 NATO requirements for quality assurance in design, engineering and production
  • Certificate of Steelworks Producer issued by the Polish Chamber of Steelworks
  • Certificate of the 1st Large Plant Group issued by the Polish Welding Institute, licensing the execution of welding for the assembly and repairs of Class 1, 2 and 3 steel constructions in compliance with PN-M 69008 and steel building structures with regard to the requirements of PN-B 06200
  • Certificate of Qualifications no. 19/M/07 issued by the Ministry of Transportation’s Qualification Commission for Steel Bridge Structure Contractors, licensing the production of steel bridge structures
  • Certificate of Qualifications no. 19/M/07 issued by the Ministry of Transportation’s Qualification Commission for Steel Bridge Structure Contractors, licensing the assembly and repair of steel bridge structures
  • The European medal for Power Engineering Project Management
  • Membership in the “Project Management” Society
  • The Polish Approval of Accredited Research Laboratory at the Electrical Technology Institute in Wrocław pertaining to the anti-corrosion preservation of HV overhead line support structures by hot-galvanizing
  • The Hygiene Certificate issued by the National Institute of Hygiene, approving the application of hot dip zinc coatings in the anti-corrosion protection of potable water pipes
  • Quality Certificates issued by the Polish Galvanizing Association

  • The IMPA International Project Excellence Award 2007 (IPMA Intertissue Paper Mill)
  • The European Medal awarded for the duplex system (galvanizing + painting)
