The consortium of Polimex-Mostostal and Mitsubishi Hitachi has won the tender to build a plant in Żerań

The bid placed by the consortium of Polimex-Mostostal and Mitsubishi Hitachi has been selected as the most favourable one in the tender for the construction of a combined gas and steam plant with capacity of 420-490 MWe at the Żerań Power Station in Warsaw. The Ordering Party is PGNiG Termika.

The value of the bid amounts to PLN 1.1 billion and EUR 111.9 million.

The investment in the Żerań Power Station will contribute to the improvement of the energy security of the Warsaw metropolitan area. Thanks to the construction of the new power unit, the oldest coal boilers will be withdrawn from service.

Polimex-Mostostal was informed about having won the tender on 17 May 2017.
