Wojciech Kowalczyk appointed the President of the Supervisory Board of PxM

Wojciech Kowalczyk was appointed the President of the Supervisory Board of Polimex-Mostostal on Thursday, 18 May. Mr Kowalczyk has replaced Ms Iwona Warsewicz after her resignation from the position.

Wojciech Kowalczyk has a long experience in the energy and financial industries: as a manager, member of supervisory boards and deputy minister. He is currently the Vice-President of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA for Capital Investments. From March 2016 to February 2017, he served in the Ministry of Energy as the Undersecretary of State in charge of the supervision and coordination of ownership policy and EU funds spending. Mr Kowalczyk was also a Secretary of State and Government Representative for restructuring of hard coal mining in the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Treasury and Ministry of Energy, where he was responsible, inter alia, for supervision over hard coal mining, energy, financial and capital market institutions and foundations. Wojciech Kowalczyk was also the President of the Supervisory Board of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.

Wojciech Kowalczyk graduated from the Foreign Trade Faculty of the Central School of Planning and Statistics in Warsaw (currently the Warsaw School of Economics).

The Supervisory Board of PxM is currently composed of the following persons: Wojciech Kowalczyk, President; Bartłomiej Kurkus, Vice-President; Andrzej Sokolewicz, Secretary, and members: Andrzej Komarowski, Marta Zygmunt, Paweł Mazurkiewicz, and Konrad Milczarski.
